NFPA 96
Grease doesn't stop at the hood. Neither do we.
Most of the grease that starts kitchen fires sits in the ductwork and the rooftop fan — the part nobody sees and the part your inspector checks. We clean the whole path to bare metal and leave you the paperwork to prove it.

What backs the work
- Cleaned to NFPA 96
- Service report and photos every visit
The whole exhaust system
Cleaning to NFPA 96, repairs, and the parts that keep it running: motors, belts, filters and chemicals. One provider for the hood, the duct and the rooftop fan.
Service and compliance

Hood and ductwork
Canopy, plenum, grease trough and the full run of duct up to the roof, plus the rooftop fan housing and blades. Scraped and cleaned to bare metal, not degreased on the surface — the rooftop fan is where inspectors find what others skipped.

Fan repair
When the rooftop fan stops, the kitchen stops with it: smoke, heat and grease have nowhere to go. We look at the unit on site and tell you what it needs before anything is ordered — a repair, a new motor, or a belt.
Call and we'll tell you when we can be there.

Motor replacement
A motor that runs hot, struggles to start or gets louder every week is on its way out. Replacing it before it quits is the difference between a scheduled visit and a kitchen that cannot open.
We quote the motor and the labour before anything is ordered. Call us with the make and model if you have them.

Belt replacement
The belt is the cheapest part in the system and the most common reason a fan spins but barely pulls. A stretched or glazed belt loses airflow long before it snaps, and the kitchen feels it as heat and smoke that will not clear.
It can be done during a cleaning visit or as a separate job. Call us and we'll work it out.
Filters and supplies

Filters: replacement and sales
Baffle filters are what keeps grease out of the ductwork. One that is warped, missing or the wrong size lets it straight past, and NFPA 96 requires them in place and properly fitted. We change yours and sell you the replacements.
Baffle filters come in standard sizes. Send us a photo or the measurement and we'll confirm availability and price.

Cleaning chemicals
The degreaser a hood line needs is not the same product that cleans the rest of the kitchen.
Tell us what equipment you're cleaning and we'll tell you which product fits and in what size.
You get the paperwork, not just a clean kitchen
After every service you receive what the standard requires and what your insurer will ask for if anything ever happens.
Service report
Date of service, technician, areas cleaned and scope — the record your fire inspector expects to see.
Before-and-after photos
Sent the same day, section by section. You see what was done inside the ductwork without climbing up there.
Dated sticker on the hood
Required by the standard, and the first thing an inspector looks for when they walk into your kitchen.
Next service reminder
We tell you when your next cleaning is due, based on your interval — not on when we'd like to sell you one.
Several kitchens? One provider, one file.
If you're responsible for more than one location, you already know the problem isn't the cleaning — it's chasing three different vendors for three different reports at audit time. We service every site on its own schedule and keep the documentation in one place.
- Certificate of insurance and W-9 on request
- One point of contact for every location
- Consolidated records for audits and renewals
